Radio Macau returns to the stage with shows in Lisbon and Porto in October

Radio Macau, responsible for topics such as The Hook, Tomorrow is always too far e The Elevator of Glorywill come together for two shows, at the Coliseums in Lisbon and Porto, in October.

The band led by Xana will perform at Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, on October 2nd, and at Coliseu do Porto, on October 15th, according to the promoter of the shows, in a statement released this Friday, February 27th.

“After more than a decade of break, the band returns to the stage with the formation that consolidated one of the most unique discographies in Portuguese pop-rock, promising an alignment that crosses several phases of its journey”, says the promoter.

On stage, in addition to Xana, there will also be Flak, on guitar, Alex Cortez, on bass, Filipe Valentim, on keyboards, and Samuel Palitos, on drums.

Tickets for both shows will go on sale from 9am on March 6th, with a pre-sale period opening on March 4th. Starting today, those interested in accessing the pre-sale must Sign up on the band’s official website.

Ticket prices vary between 18 and 45 euros for the Lisbon show and between 18 and 37 euros for the Porto show.

Rádio Macau emerged in the early 1980s, during the Portuguese rock boom, and released its first album, with the same name, in 1984, followed by “Spleen” (1986), “Elevador da Glória” (1987), “O Rapaz do Trapézio Voador” (1989) and “A Marca Amarela” (1992).

After a sabbatical break, the group got back together in 1999, releasing a year later “Onde o Tempo Faz a Curva”, “Acordar”, in 2003, and “Oito”, in 2008. In 2014 they released “Space Monster”, an album that brings together new songs and rarities.
