This Sunday, March 15, Sporting won the Portuguese volleyball Cup for the sixth time, beating Benfica 3-2, in the final of the 2025/26 edition, played in Albufeira.
The Leonine team, which had already beaten the Reds in both championship matches and the Super Cup, prevailed by scores of 25-22, 26-28, 25-23, 21-25 and 23-21.
No ranking of the competition, Sporting joined FC Porto and Castêlo da Maia in third place with six trophies, against 12 for Sporting de Espinho, second, and 21 for Benfica, which remains the clear leader.
