Sporting de Braga qualified this Thursday, April 16, for the semi-finals of the Europa Football League for the second time, after winning Spanish side Betis overcame 4-2 in the second leg of the quarter-finals, played in Seville.
After the 1-1 draw in the first leg, in Braga, the Spanish team won by two goals, after goals from Antony, in the 13th minute, and Abde Ezzalzouli, in the 26th, but Sporting de Braga turned the result around, with goals from Pau Víctor, in the 38th minute, Vítor Carvalho, in the 49th minute, Ricardo Horta, in the 53rd minute, from a penalty, and Gorby, in the 74th minute.
With this result, Sporting de Braga qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa League for the second time, imitating what they had already achieved in the 2010/11 season, in a journey that ended with defeat in the final against FC Porto (1-0).
In the semi-finals, Braga will face German side Friburgo, who eliminated Spanish side Celta de Vigo, in games scheduled for April 30th and May 7th.
