At SSC de Portugal, which has been operating since the second quarter of 2023 in a modern space located in Parque das Nações, around 400 professionals work, from more than 30 nationalities, with functions associated with customer supply and administration, finance, human resources, workplace management and technology.
The creation of the SSC is part of Essity’s digital transformation strategy, which began in 2019, with the aim of building a simpler organization prepared for the challenges of the future. Digitalization aims to combine efficiency, competitiveness and innovation.
In three years, the evolution of the project was reflected in an increase in the number of employees – the SSC opened with around 60 and now there are approximately 400 – and in a greater need for recruitment, especially IT specialists. Working at SSC results, on the other hand, in the possibility for employees based in Lisbon to develop their professional careers abroad, through applications for internal opportunities in different countries.
