Three attacks in the Pacific and the Caribbean against “drug boats” of alleged traffickers ended with the death of eleven people, the US armed forces reported this Tuesday.

The attacks took place on Monday, and left a balance of “four dead on the first vessel in the eastern Pacific, four on the second vessel in the eastern Pacific and three on the third vessel in the Caribbean,” the Southern Command reported on the X network.
The United States began its campaign against these alleged drug boats in September, and since then has killed at least 140 people in nearly 40 attacks.

Attacks without legality
International law experts and human rights groups say the attacks likely constitute extrajudicial executions, as they have apparently targeted civilians who do not pose an immediate threat to the United States.
The government remembers operations for decades against alleged jihadists in countries like Yemen, Somalia and Syriain which targets were attacked without posing an imminent threat.
Washington deployed a huge naval force in the Caribbean, which in addition to disrupting these supposed maritime smuggling lines, also helped implement an oil blockade against Venezuela y capture its leftist president Nicolás Maduro, currently detained in the United States.
The centerpiece of the flotilla, the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford, It was sent last week to the Middle East along with several accompanying destroyers, as part of the threat of military intervention against Iran.
