At 18, Beaucairoise Lisa Gaona will take her first steps on television on Saturday April 18, in The Voice on TF1. A first big stage for the young singer, who hopes to seduce the coaches and share this moment with the inhabitants of Beaucaire.
This Saturday, April 18, the Beaucairois, among thousands of spectators, will reserve their evening to support the young Lisa Gaona, who will appear for the first time on television, on TF1, for the show The Voice.
At 18, the young Beaucairoise finally went beyond her natural reserve to register for the fifteenth edition of the prestigious and very selective program (more than 65,000 candidates for 130 chosen ones), after having sung since her earliest childhood, mainly for herself and those close to her.
The high school revelation
It was in high school that she realized the value of her voice, her talent, and that confrontation with the public became imperative. “I couldn’t imagine doing anything else, it’s my vocation, the job that thrills me all the time, with my guts”she confides.
An English degree student in Nîmes, Lisa Gaona admits that she did not expect to be selected among so many applicants, a surprise that has continued until today: “Since casting began at the end of August, I have experienced a surprise at every stage. It’s unreal, going to the blind auditions seemed like an impossible dream, a dream come true “.
She masters a varied repertoire, French songs that she particularly likes, she moves to R’n’B and pop, revisiting all styles. She found her inspiration in listening to the hits of Tal, Amel Bent or Arina, but “Katy Perry’s clips stimulated me vocally, I covered the songs for my loved ones, who have always supported me until today”she specifies.
She had her first experience with the public during the singing competition in Beaucaire: “I was 11, I was petrified, but ultimately it was a lot of fun.”
With The Voice, it is in front of a quartet of explosive coaches, Florent Pagny, Amel Bent, Lara Fabian and Tayc, that she will have to ensure a more than perfect performance before the battles stage at the beginning of May.
Trust built in front of the public
An enriching experience in any case since it recognizes: “By coming out of my cocoon and confronting myself with the jury and the public, I gain confidence in myself, in my future in singing.”
Stimulated by the adventure, she projects herself into the future and now considers her dream: writing and performing her songs, as now possible. Despite her concern about not living up to public expectations, she delivers a sincere wish: “I hope that my loved ones and all the people of Beaucair will like it and be proud of me.”
