Lusíadas Saúde invests 30 million in new hospital in Quinta da Beloura, Sintra

Lusíadas Saúde announced, this Wednesday, March 25th, the opening of the Lusíadas Beloura Hospital, in Sintra.

This is an investment of 30 million euros that is part of the group’s expansion plan in Greater Lisbon.

The unit, which is scheduled to open in the first half of the year, is intended to serve around one million inhabitants of the municipalities of Sintra, Cascais and Oeiras.

With 9,500 m² spread over four floors, the hospital will have 27 inpatient beds, 41 consultation offices, 18 exam rooms, two operating room rooms and a minor surgery room.

The estimated capacity will allow for more than 100,000 consultations and around four thousand surgeries per year.

The new space also provides walk-in service, complementary diagnostic services and a dental clinic with three offices, the company reveals in a statement.

The creation of approximately 500 jobs is the main direct impact expected for the local economy, also reinforcing the private provision of services in the São Paulo Metropolitan Region.

The unit will integrate an Integrated Health Center focused on prevention and continuity of care and will complement home services through the Hug Lusíadas Home Care brand, highlights the same note.

Regarding the project, Vasco Antunes Pereira, executive president of Lusíadas Saúde, states, cited in the document, that with this unit the group reinforces “its commitment to the Greater Lisbon region, bringing more proximity, quality and innovation in healthcare”.

The new hospital will work in conjunction with the group’s other units in the region, namely the hospitals and clinics of the Lusíadas network in Greater Lisbon.
