A 40-year-old man died during the night of Friday April 17 to Saturday April 18. The police are studying the possibility of a settling of scores while two men are still wanted this Sunday, April 19. An investigation into intentional homicide has been opened.
Could this be a settling of scores? A man died on the night of Friday April 17 to Saturday April 18 in Castres, in Tarn. The man, aged 40, was beaten to death. Since then, two other individuals have been actively sought. They are suspected of the murder of the forty-year-old, who was hit on the ground several times.
A group of witnesses intervened shortly before 1 a.m. to help the man on the ground. The individual had, a few minutes earlier, been beaten several times during a brawl. His attackers notably hit him on the head before leaving on a scooter.
The victim had a knife on her
Witnesses provided first aid before help arrived but the man, taken into care in cardio-respiratory arrest, did not survive his injuries. In his hand, a folding knife – but closed – was found.
On site, the police also found a crack pipe, hence the hypothesis of a settling of scores against a backdrop of drug trafficking. The prosecution opened an investigation into intentional homicide and ordered an autopsy. The authorities hope to be able to rely on video surveillance images from the city.
