Besançon. Lost in the forest, a 75-year-old man airlifted by firefighters

The Doubs firefighters were contacted this Sunday, April 19, 2026 at the end of the afternoon to rescue a man lost in the Loue valley. The victim, aged 75, got lost while out walking. It was located in the commune of Châteauvieux-les-Fossés, near the Raffenot waterfall, when it was at the foot of a steep slope, unable to climb back up under its own power. Faced with this perilous situation, emergency services decided to airlift the septuagenarian.
