The statement was has margin of the first meeting of the PS National Commission.
“This leadership continues as it began, that is, it was elected with a large majority of votes in the Socialist Party and naturally, as it was not unanimous, there are people who still do not fully associate themselves with their way of being and being”, highlighted the PS president, adding that “this is natural in the party”.
“The only thing I fear in the Socialist Party is 100% votes”, he launched. “It is possible to be a good opposition and be recognized by the Portuguese as a party capable of making proposals, capable of saying how it should not be done, but also how it should be done.“, he continued.
The socialist, adding that he is vigilant in the face of “government movements, like those we saw in the case of [lei da] nationality, such as those we are seeing in the case of labor counter-reform, such as those predicted in the case of constitutional review, or even in areas where we suspect that the Government may also make inroads that will harm the interests and rights of the Portuguese, as is the case with the pension system”.
