Ukrainian pilots trained on Swedish fighter planes this year?
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky received Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf on Friday in Lviv, Ukraine. He indicated that he wanted the training of Ukrainian pilots on Swedish Gripen fighter jets to begin in 2026. Sweden allocated 4 billion euros to Ukraine in 2026.
Ukraine received 90% of funds from frozen Russian assets
The Ukrainian government received $45 billion, which corresponds to 90% of the expected funding from revenues generated by frozen Russian assets. Ukrainian Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko calls for going further by directly mobilizing these assets.
A Zelensky-Putin meeting? “No concrete initiative” says Russia
