A man was seriously injured late Friday afternoon in Caubiac. Stuck under his tractor when help arrived, he was freed then airlifted to a hospital in absolute emergency.
Friday evening, late in the afternoon, firefighters from SDIS 31 intervened in the town of Caubiac following an accident involving a tractor, which occurred in circumstances that are still unknown.
When emergency services arrived on the scene, they discovered a person trapped under the agricultural vehicle. Faced with the situation, the rescue teams immediately began an extrication operation in order to free the victim as quickly as possible. Once extracted, she received first aid on site, while awaiting medical treatment.

The intervention mobilized significant relief resources, given the apparent seriousness of the situation. Quickly, a SAMU crew came to reinforce the system in order to ensure medical treatment of the victim and stabilize his condition.
The man was then prepared for transfer by helicopter to the nearest hospital. His evacuation took place as an absolute emergency, due to the seriousness of his injuries.
The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear at this time. An investigation could be opened in order to understand the causes of the tractor overturning and to determine the conditions in which the tragedy occurred.
