Saturday morning, around 7:30 a.m., the gendarmes discovered the body of a man aged around forty, stuck under a tractor, in a pond, in the countryside of Caestre, in the North, reports The Voice of the North.
According to information from the regional daily, which interviewed the mayor of this town of around 2,000 inhabitants, the victim was going around the pond on board the lawn tractor to mow the grass, when the vehicle slipped and overturned into the pond.
Still according to the local newspaper, an investigation was opened to determine the exact circumstances of the facts. According to the first elements collected by the police, the accident theory is confirmed. A team of divers is expected in the morning to recover the body.
