The government, at the beginning of the week, decided in favor of the same rule as last year: only the owners of flower shops and bakeries would be authorized to open their businesses on May 1 (without employees). This announcement was countered by a statement from the Prime Minister, Sébastien Lecornu, this Friday, April 17.

This Labor Day will return to what was practiced before 2025: florists and bakers will work alongside voluntary and double-paid employees. This measure is valid for this year, because the question already promises to be debated again next year.
