Saturday April 18, during a family outing in Haut-Doubs, a father and his two teenage boys came across several cables installed at eye level, in the form of “traps”. The man reported the incident on Facebook when his two children fell due to a cable.
What was supposed to be just a little family outing almost turned into a tragedy. Saturday April 18, Nicolas Siron, father of a family based near Morteau (Doubs), did not mince his words in a Facebook post. “Friends mountain bikers from the upper Doubs be careful… malicious people put cables across the paths (sic)” wrote the man on the social network.

Earlier in the day, while riding an ATV with his father and his two teenage sons, the latter witnessed an accident that could have gone wrong. His eldest, aged 15, fell heavily, the fault of a cable stretched over “a path regularly used by walkers” reports the father of the family to France 3while specifying that the land is “certainly private”. The other boy, two years younger, was dragged into the fall.

“The injuries are superficial but it could have been much more serious” wrote Nicolas Siron on his Facebook account, he who gave himself a “big scare” when he saw his two boys on the ground. “Whoever did this is a psychopath” castigated the father, who found two other cables stretched at eye level a few dozen meters further on. The exact location, located not far from the town of Villers-le-Lac, was shared on social networks.
