Ruy de Carvalho receives Vote of Greeting this Wednesday in a ceremony in the Chamber of Deputies

The ceremony will be attended by deputies, family, close friends and work colleagues and will have start by showing the video One Stage, One Life“which enshrines the artistic trajectory and human legacy of Ruy de Carvalhofollowed by the reading of the Vote of Greeting, which will then be formally delivered to the person honored by the president of the Assembly”, informs AR.

The session ends with the delivery of a tribute book, “signed by all those who wanted to leave their words of appreciation and recognition”.

Ruy de Carvalho was born in Lisbon and began his acting career in 1947, at the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. “Ruy de Carvalho’s career crossed regimes, social transformations and cultural fads”, says the text of the Vote of Greeting which, in the final paragraph, says that it is about “an unusual tribute – made during his lifetime, on the lips of an expected centenarian – to an unusual man. He greets family, friends and admirers, and expresses to Ruy de Carvalho the recognition of Parliament and the country.”
