A 35-year-old man was arrested by the Judiciary Police for repeatedly committing the crime of sexual abuse of dependent minors.
The facts at the origin of the investigation refer to the period between 2021 and 2023, having taken place at the Music Conservatory, in the district of Viseu, where the detainee works as a teacher. At the beginning of the events, the victim was 16 years old.
“The sexual abuse would have been committed in the course of several teaching interactions, during which the minor was entrusted to the teacher for teaching purposes”indicates a note sent to newsrooms.
The steps taken made it possible to identify other likely victims of the same type of abusive behavior, and investigations continued.
The survey is held by DIAP de Viseu.
The detainee will be presented to the competent judicial authority, for the application of coercive measures.
