two lists being constituted for the elections postponed to May 31

Two municipalities in Alsace, Fréland in Haut-Rhin, and Rothau in Bas-Rhin, were unable to take part in the last municipal elections, due to a lack of candidates.

In the small town of the Bruche valley, a list had been put together by one of the outgoing elected officials, but it dissolved itself shortly before the election.

Since March 23, a special delegation, made up of three recently retired civil servants, has managed the affairs of the Bruch commune.

Two lists of candidates are currently being constituted in Rothau. One of them would be led by an outgoing municipal councilor. The first round of these postponed municipal elections should take place on Sunday May 31. If a second round is necessary, in the event of a possible third list being constituted, it would be held on Sunday June 7.
