Gun violence is once again putting the United States into mourning. A tragedy indeed struck Louisiana over the weekend. Eight children were shot and killed in domestic violence, Shreveport city authorities announced Sunday.

No officers were injured, said the Louisiana State Police, who are participating in the investigation.
