The movement of vehicles on the 25 de Abril Bridge is completely banned in the Almada–Lisbon direction, following an accident involving several vehicles, including an ambulance, which occurred around 3pm this Sunday (19).
According to a source from the Sub-regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of the Setúbal Peninsula, cited by the Lusa agency, the alert was given at 2:53 pm, with the collision involving at least three vehicles. 25 operatives are mobilized at the site, including firefighters, PSP agents and members of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM).
The accident is causing severe constraints on access to the bridge, with hundreds of vehicles stopped near the entrance to the toll booth and also along the bridge, significantly worsening circulation in that area.
