A fatal accident in Pradines (Lot) shakes up the entire town. A 17-year-old teenager, found unconscious on the side of the road a week ago, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday April 18 at Purpan hospital.
The tragedy deeply affected the town of Pradines. A week after the serious accident which occurred on Saturday April 11 around 5 a.m., in Pradines, the seriously injured 17-year-old young man finally succumbed to his injuries. Transported in absolute emergency to the Purpan hospital in Toulouse, after the rapid intervention of emergency services, he died on Saturday April 18 in the evening, in a state of brain death.
Found unconscious on the side of the road
It was a nurse on tour who discovered the unconscious teenager below the road, intrigued by the unusual presence of his two-wheeler immobilized on the side of the road at this early hour. The victim suffered a violent blow to the head. The exact circumstances of the accident remain, at this stage, unknown and are still the subject of investigations.

In the community, the emotion is immense. “It’s tragic what happened, already when you lose someone but here a 17-year-old child, I’m upset,” confides the mayor, Denis Marre. Very touched, the councilor also evokes the brutality of the announcement, “There was unfortunately nothing more to do to hope to save him, it’s terrible I think of the family.”
The young man was the son of a running mate of the mayor of the town. Since the announcement of his death, an outpouring of support has spontaneously been organized around the family. “With my team, a large movement of solidarity was created to support it, as best we can,” he confides.
