Friday, February 8 through Sunday, February 10, Breathe Retreat will take place in the same campground as years past: Camp Brookwoods in Alton, New Hampshire.

Students were so excited to attend this retreat that all spaces filled in the first two days of sign-ups. Currently, there are 70 students signed up; 28 men and 42 women.

Justin Reed, the director of Spiritual Life, has worked very hard in coordinating this relaxing getaway for students and is excited to see what the weekend will bring.

The speaker for Breathe Retreat will be Larry Bollinger, the vice president of Institutional Advancement. While a theme for the weekend has not yet been decided, the time at the retreat will be centered around “fellowship, getting away from the business of life, and reconnecting with God,” says Reed.

Reed also expressed his excitement for the fun activities that will take place throughout the weekend, including a Super Smash Bros. tournament (bring your Nintendo Switch), a talent or lip-sync show, sledding, and, if there is snow, snowman making contests or snowball fights. Saturday, February 9 will be a free day for students to hang out with friends and enjoy the campgrounds.

An email will be sent out to students who are signed up with further details such as a packing list, what to expect, a schedule for the weekend and some ground rules. If there are any questions about Breathe Retreat, please contact Justin Reed at Justin.A.Reed@lions.enc.edu.
