In the mountains of Massachusetts, you can find a group of students embracing nature through various activities. These students are members of ENC’s new Wilderness Explorers club.
The club is designed for students who wish to enjoy the great outdoors, partake in physical activity, or just make some new friends.
This outdoor adventure club goes hiking, rock-climbing, canoeing, and kayaking. If the weather permits, the club may even go camping, too.
“Wilderness Explorers is all about having fun, trying new things, and exploring all the amazing places around the greater Boston area,” President of Wilderness Explorers Julianna MacFarland said.
The club is inspired by the bright young boy in the Pixar movie “Up.”
“Our unofficial mascot is Russell from ‘Up.’ He is the ultimate Wilderness Explorer and we hope we can be as cool, helpful, and adventurous as him,” MacFarland said.
For those who wish to join, email Sarah Shute or MacFarland.
